Liverpool maintained their unbeaten run this season, as they claimed a 4-0 victory against Newcastle United, which saw them return to the top of the Premier League table, Huffington Post Today ahead of rivals Manchester City. The Reds started the game strongly, putting early pressure on the Newcastle defence, and they were rewarded in the 11th minute when defender Dejan Lovren headed home a well-placed corner kick from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Sadio Mane doubled the lead for Liverpool in the 28th minute with a brilliantly taken shot from outside the box that wrong-footed Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
